Did you know that the story in Lesson 1 is taken from a song called "Don't Cry Joni" of Conway Twitty? It's a story about Joni (15 years old) and Jimmy (22 years old). Joni loves Jimmy, but Jimmy only see her as a kid and a friend. What will happen at the end?
When you meet someone for the first time, you may need to introduce yourself, which means to talk about yourself so that they know a little about you. In this lesson, you will know how to talk about your name, your age, your job, where you live and what you like to do.
Thank you Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Khue for your contribution! :)
In this lesson you will learn how to say hello to someone. It's very good to greet him or her because it's a very polite thing to do. And you will also know how to greet them properly. You will know how to greet formally to your teacher or someone older than you, and to greet your friends informally. Have fun learning.
This website is a free English learning website for everyone in the world can learn. We know we are not really experienced English teachers. We only have 3 years of teaching experience. We are also complete amateurs in acting and making films. But we love doing this, so we decided to start this project to teach English to everyone who wishes to learn. Also, we heard someone said “Perfection is enemy,” which means you cannot start anything out perfectly. We are trying our best to make our lessons better, day by day, video by video.
You may be wondering why we are doing this? Well, first, because we are a couple with one thing in common. We love to share the values. We think that the world would be much better if we share what we have. And English is a really powerful tool in the fast-changing world nowaday (if you come from a developing country like us, you will know for sure). We have a really big scheme. We want to build a free English learners community. If you are of the same mind as ours, we would love to get in touch with you.
And the second reason? We will tell you in one of the videos. Stay tuned for the big secret.
So, we will be making videos, and with supplement materials and exercises to aid in the process of learning. Also, we would try to make the lessons as interesting as possible. We think that a good lesson is well-organized and be interesting.
We also really encourage you as learners to take part in the learning process. You will see that there will be speaking practice during the exercise like we are interacting with each other. For other lessons, there may be written exercise or homework to you. Do it, and send it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or you can post it on facebook here. As you see, there is a saying like this.
“I hear, I forget.
I see, I know.
I do, I understand.”
We would really want you to do, so that you can understand the lessons right on the spot. That is a good way to learn. You learn by doing, not by seeing.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
As we said, we are sharing freaks. So if you like our videos, please share them for your friends on facebook, twitter or anything you can do. We would really appreciate it if you do share. We don’t take any penny for any lessons we have here. We just do it for our passion: share the values. So, if you really like our videos, please share it. Again, we are sharing freaks.
If you are educators, we would really love to have your contributions. We think that if we are of the same mind, we can do much better things. If you have any ideas to cooperate with us in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
If you still have any question, please contact us at email@example.com. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
